At Wendy Kemp Design, our approach to design is rooted in the build. With a strong background in both interior design and construction, Wendy brings a rare perspective to the table, one that bridges creativity with technical expertise. While furnishings are an important layer, great design starts long before move-in day. We work closely with builders, architects, and homeowners, from the beginning to the end of your project. Wendy’s approach is rooted in the construction process, where she collaborates on layouts, trim, and materials to ensure each space is not only beautiful but purposefully built. The result? Cohesive, custom homes that reflect how you truly live, designed with intention from the inside out. This deep involvement in the building process sets us apart, allowing us to deliver designs that are not only stunning but structurally sound and fully personalized. We don’t just pick finishes; we help shape the home from its bones outward, making intentional design decisions that elevate both form and function.

Wendy Kemp has been more than a pleasure to work with. Not only a pleasure, but extreme compliment to my business! Their organizational skills and expertise have saved us in all working aspects! We are a local builder and renovation company that specializes in high end builds. Without their assistance, we wouldn’t be the company we are today! Thankful is an understatement!!

I have had the good fortune of working with Wendy Kemp and her team for more than twenty years and I can say without reservation that she is one of the most talented and creative designers in the industry. Wendy and I began working together many years ago through Emerald Homes and later with our current company . Wendy has created many beautifully designed and decorated model homes for our company over the years and has worked closely with our homebuyers for both companies, garnering rave reviews from everyone we introduce to her and her incredibly talented team. Wendy truly cares about her clients and goes the extra mile to get to know each person’s vision, needs and wants, and works within their stated budgets. The finished product is always a wonderfully creative work of art reflecting the uniqueness of each individual client. I highly recommend Wendy and the Woodlands Designer Warehouse for your next home design project.

I first met Wendy at an event she hosted at her home. When I walked in to her home I felt like I had stepped into a magazine cover yet felt the comfort and warmth of her beautiful home. When my husband and I purchased an older home that needed to be completely renovated I immediately called Wendy as I loved her eye for design, her experience in the industry and her kindness and caring. I am easily overwhelmed when trying to put my vision into words or action, especially when there’s the tasks of paint colors, tile selections, light fixtures, flooring, etc. Wendy guided me through every step, offering selections that perfectly matched my vision within our budget. When workmanship wasn’t up to snuff, she advocated for us to make things right. We will be building a casita for my mom in a few months and can’t wait to work with Wendy again!

My husband and I worked with Wendy and her team during our home build. She is very professional, friendly, down to earth and has an eye for design work. She listened to what we wanted and helped guide us in the right direction. She was always available when I reached out with questions. Always eager to help. She has a wonderful personality and we’ve become friends even two years after working with her. Don’t pass up the opportunity to work with her and her team.

Working with Wendy was like working with a best friend. She’s very professional but inviting. I was overwhelmed with the idea of building a custom home, but she made it stress free and fun. Wendy definitely provided a one-of-a-kind experience.

We can’t recommend Wendy Kemp enough! We were introduced to her through our custom builder, and she came into our home build halfway through after our original designer had to relocate unexpectedly. Looking back, it turned out to be one of the best things that could have happened. Wendy was honest, thoughtful, and full of great ideas. Thanks to her expertise, our home turned out absolutely beautiful. Our work with Wendy didn’t end when the build was finished—she went on to furnish our entire home (and absolutely nailed it), and she’s now our go-to holiday decorator. Most recently, she’s taken on the role of designing the remodel for our lake home. Wendy isn’t just our interior designer anymore—she’s truly become like family. Her talent, dedication, and personal touch make her an incredible asset for any project. We wholeheartedly recommend Wendy Kemp!

There is not enough room for all the good comments about Wendy but what is important to know above all else is that she is a woman of integrity. Integrity is different than reputation, her reputation is stellar but when difficulties arise like they did in our case she acted in our best interest, making up for our builder who had all but abandoned us. She accomplished in four hours what our builder’s designer couldn’t do in a week. She listened and watched my body language such that she could tell when something wasn’t sitting right with me and quickly pivoted to another direction that was exactly what I wanted. The Woodlands area, Conroe etc. has a plethora of designers but Wendy is more than that, she consistent puts her clients first and even when you might not love your build or renovation, she helps you see how to make it a home and leave all that mess behind. You find any designer and negotiate a price; but Wendy’s integrity brings trust and that’s not negotiable for her.

Where do I begin with Wendy? I have worked with Wendy for over 6 years now and have easily worked on more than 200 projects with her. Her ability to discover the client’s vision and then make it come to life is truly a gift. She has a special ability to uncover what the client is wanting, even when the client is having a difficult time conveying it. She has been in this industry so long that she can almost instantly know what they are trying to envision. And doing all of this while still allowing the client to make their own choices on which material to go with. She is not pushy at all, but more so gently guides the client in the direction they are wanting to go and sprinkling in her advice at the proper time along the way. It’s really something special to watch. Not everyone can do what she does. Wendy has been and will always be my choice for design. Your best decision you will make on your project is choosing Wendy!

From the initial consultation to the final reveal, Wendy displayed exceptional professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. She took the time to understand our vision and preferences, offering innovative ideas that truly transformed our space. Her ability to balance aesthetics with functionality was particularly impressive. Throughout the project, communication was seamless. Wendy kept us informed at every stage, ensuring that our input was valued and incorporated. Our rushed timeline was managed effectively, and any adjustments were handled with care and transparency. What stands out most is the final result—a beautifully designed space that exceeds our expectations. We received compliments daily from patients who are in awe at the transformation. I wholeheartedly recommend Wendy Kemp to anyone seeking an interior designer who delivers both quality and a personalized approach.
